Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU), established on January 6, 1978, is a premier institution of higher learning in the Ilocos region of the Philippines. Named after Mariano Marcos, the father of former President Ferdinand E. Marcos. The first time I heard that I would spend my 28 days as a SEA-Teacher participants made me a little bit nervous. Choosing a university is one of the biggest decisions in life, and for me, Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) was more than just a school—it became my second home. I know from the first time I met my resource teacher and my fellow student friends, I would learn so much new and important things. I started my journey in MMSU with observing the surroundings, as I am a foreigner try to adapt in the new place. I was invited to observe first before finally preparing a lesson plan and start teaching according to the predetermined schedule. So, I started to work on my lesson plan.
